Upright meaning
The seed. Something is quietly gestating. Finish what you have started and it will release a new beginning.
Reversed (merkstave)
Ingwaz looks the same either way up, so it has no reversed meaning. Read it upright every time.
A question to sit with
What needs finishing before the next thing can start?
Its ætt
Ingwaz belongs to Tyr's ætt, the runes of people, honour and what you inherit and pass on.
