Upright meaning
Daybreak. A breakthrough, a shift from dark to light. What seemed impossible becomes obvious.
Reversed (merkstave)
Dagaz looks the same either way up, so it has no reversed meaning. Read it upright every time.
A question to sit with
What would change if you saw this in full daylight?
Its ætt
Dagaz belongs to Tyr's ætt, the runes of people, honour and what you inherit and pass on.
