Who we are
Rune Oracle (runeoracle.com) is run by Kieran Russon, a sole trader in the United Kingdom, trading as Rune Oracle. In these terms "we", "us" and "our" mean Rune Oracle, and "you" means anyone using the site. You can contact us at skittullz@gmail.com.
By using Rune Oracle you agree to these terms. If you buy credits, these terms form the contract between you and us.
What Rune Oracle is
Rune Oracle offers rune readings, information about gods, festivals, herbs and pagan practice, a journal, and answers from "the oracle". Readings and answers are for reflection, devotion and entertainment. They are not predictions of the future, and they are not medical, psychological, legal, financial or other professional advice. Please don't make important decisions based on them alone, and speak to a qualified professional about anything to do with your health, safety, money or legal position.
Many readings and answers are written by artificial intelligence (AI). AI can make mistakes, including about history, traditions, herbs and safety. Always check anything you plan to rely on.
Herbs, spells, recipes and rituals
Information about herbs, baths, incense, candles, recipes and rituals is general information only. Some plants are toxic, interact with medicines, or are unsafe in pregnancy, while breastfeeding, for children or for pets. Check for allergies, patch test anything that touches your skin, never use essential oils undiluted on skin, never leave candles or fires unattended, and don't eat or drink any herb unless you are sure it is safe for you. If in doubt, ask a pharmacist or doctor. You use this information at your own risk.
Your account
You need an account to buy credits, ask the oracle, keep a journal or save herb cards. You must be 18 or over to create an account or buy credits. Keep your password safe and don't share your account. You're responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete your account at any time from the account page, which permanently removes your account, journal, herb collection and any unused credits.
Free readings and credits
- Everyone can have two free rune readings a day. We may change the number of free readings at any time.
- New accounts receive 5 free credits.
- Beyond the free readings, anything that uses AI costs 1 credit: a rune reading, a reply from the oracle in chat, an answer to a spell or recipe question, or a new herb card.
- Credits are sold in packs, shown with their price on the credits page. Prices are in pounds sterling. We are not currently registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged.
- Credits don't expire while your account is open. They have no cash value, can't be exchanged for money except as set out in our refunds policy, and can't be transferred to another account.
- If an AI answer fails for a reason on our side, the credit is returned to your account automatically.
- We may change prices for future purchases. This won't affect credits you have already bought.
Paying
Payments are taken securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. When your payment is confirmed, the credits are added to your account straight away.
Your right to cancel
Credits are digital content. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you would normally have 14 days to cancel, but for digital content that right ends once supply begins. When you buy credits you ask us to add them to your account immediately, and you agree that you lose the legal right to cancel once they have been added. We still offer refunds of unused credits within 14 days, as set out in our refunds policy. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights, including your rights if digital content is faulty.
Using the site fairly
Please don't misuse Rune Oracle. That includes trying to get around the free reading limit or other limits, interfering with the site or other people's accounts, scraping or copying the site's content in bulk, or asking the oracle for anything harmful or unlawful. The oracle only offers gentle, positive workings and won't help with anything meant to harm or control another person. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. If we close your account without good reason, we'll refund any unused credits you paid for.
Our content
The site's text, illustrations, design and code belong to us or our licensors. You're welcome to use readings, answers and information for your own personal practice. Journal entries you write belong to you.
Our responsibility to you
We work to keep Rune Oracle running and accurate, but we can't promise it will always be available, error-free or suitable for your purposes. We're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We're not responsible for loss that isn't foreseeable, for business losses, or for decisions you make based on readings or answers. Our total liability to you in connection with credits is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, for example when we add features. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change significantly affects you, we'll let you know on the site. The terms in force when you buy credits apply to that purchase.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring a claim in your local courts. If something has gone wrong, please email us first at skittullz@gmail.com and we'll do our best to put it right.
