Also called Maponus, Apollo Maponus.
Their story
Maponos, the divine son or youth, was honoured in northern Britain, where Roman soldiers joined him with Apollo on altars at Ribchester in Lancashire and at Corbridge. A Roman road book names a place called Locus Maponi, perhaps near Lochmaben in Dumfriesshire. His name also appears on a lead tablet from Chamalières in central France. He is the source of the Welsh Mabon.
