Their story
Gofannon, son of Dôn, is the Welsh counterpart of the Irish smith Goibniu. In the Fourth Branch of the Mabinogi he is named as the uncle who dealt the fatal blow to Dylan ail Don. In Culhwch and Olwen, one of Culhwch's tasks is to have Gofannon come to the end of the ploughland to clean the iron of the plough.
