Also called Badb Catha, Bodb, the battle crow.
Their story
Badb, whose name means crow, was one of the daughters of Ernmas among the Tuatha Dé Danann. She appears over battlefields in the form of a hooded crow, and her cries could strike terror into warriors. In some tales she is seen washing the armour of those about to die, a scene that echoes the later washer at the ford. Along with the Morrígan and Macha she used magic against the Fir Bolg and the Fomorians.
